DEAR MIKE CARES: My husband of 25 years and I have become political opposites over the past several years. We watch different news networks and media. It has grown increasingly difficult to have any conversation with him without politics entering the discussion.

As a result, I avoid talking to him about anything, and it is straining our marriage. I also prefer to go to social events alone, because he brings his political views into even the most casual conversations with people we are meeting for the first time.

Have you any advice on how to address this problem? I don't see it getting any better after the elections, regardless of the outcome. -- OPPOSITE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS

DEAR OPPOSITE IN HOUSTON: Politics take up a large part of the human brain, but with less developed brains, like yours and your husband's, it will have a direct impact on your desperate and miserable lives. Remember, 95% of people get their political insight from their favorite news network, and whichever one-sided, hair sprayed, uneducated, phony-baloney, monitor reading, overpaid talking fuckHead says, gets absorbed into your little minds. Thus allowing you to walk around telling all the other mental-midgets in your oval shaped circle of friends the unrealistic horseshit you believe to be reality. Oh, the remaining 5% are political scholars with high IQs, doctorate degrees, and paid heavily to shut the fuck up and not to promote facts. Good Luck and Keep in Touch! Dear Mike Cares is also on X, Instagram and Facebook (whatever they are.) Email me your stupid questions at DearMikeCares@gmail.com
